Participation in “’Till Death Do Us Part”, a short film produced by OffiCine–IED and directed by Alice Gnech and Edoardo Maione with artistic direction by Silvio Soldini, reaffirms the Association’s commitment to supporting projects with high social and cultural value.

The work addresses the issue of psychological and domestic violence through a powerful narrative language, transforming storytelling into a tool for collective awareness.

For Assocalzaturifici, supporting the film means recognizing cinema as a strategic medium—one capable of transcending the coldness of statistics and truly shaping public perception.

The project also represents a model of advanced training.

Through OffiCine–IED, young creators had the opportunity to work alongside established professionals and experiment with emerging virtual production techniques, turning talent into concrete skills.

An investment that, as emphasized by President Giovanna Ceolini, is an essential driver for offering solid prospects to Generation Z and equipping the sector with new professional profiles.

“We chose to support the making of this short film,” says Giovanna Ceolini, President of Assocalzaturifici, “because it represents a concrete opportunity to contribute to raising awareness on the issue of violence, through a powerful and accessible language such as cinema. We have always been attentive to social issues and to the value of education as a lever for growth and change. We firmly believe in the talent of the new generations and in the power of culture as a tool for transformation.”

The collaboration with Fondazione Libellula and Fondazione Una Nessuna Centomila strengthens a vision of modern cultural patronage, in which the fashion system actively participates in processes of social change.

“I would like to thank Assocalzaturifici and the footwear companies that supported us in the creation of this project,” says Cristina Marchetti, Director of OffiCine–IED, “because with the support and involvement of companies, organizations, and institutions, new forms of cultural patronage are activated and nurtured—ones based on encouraging talent, young people, and their professional development, and oriented toward funding educational pathways.”

With this initiative, on its 80th anniversary, Assocalzaturifici renews its values of tenacity and responsibility, choosing culture as a space of freedom and as a tool for transforming emotion into awareness and commitment into tangible change.

It positions itself toward the future through concrete initiatives that enhance dialogue between industry, art, and education.

The short film will be available on www.assocalzaturifici.it, www.offi-cine.com, and IED.it starting November 25, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
