BALDININI Presents "UNVEILING" at GALLERY WEEKEND BERLIN.

Art and Made in Italy meet in Germany.

Baldinini presents Unveiling, an artistic collaboration with Elena El Asmar that will debut on April 30 at the brand’s boutique on Kurfürstendamm, coinciding with Berlin’s Gallery Weekend.

The boutique window will showcase a sculpture by the Italo-Lebanese artist: a glass piece wrapped in elastic lace patterns, in dialogue with the textures and transparency of Baldinini’s Spring/Summer 2025 Flower Mesh collection.

Curated by artistic director Matete Martini, who also created the images and videos featured in the installation, the initiative is a key part of Baldinini’s strategy to expand into the German market, identified as a priority area for international growth.

The decision to participate in Gallery Weekend—an essential event in Berlin’s contemporary art scene—highlights the brand’s intention to position itself as a symbol of Italian artisanal excellence within prestigious cultural settings.

The work of the Italo-Lebanese artist transforms childhood memories from Lebanon into crystalline architectures, crafted from transparent glass and patterns inspired by Eastern filigree.

These elements harmonize perfectly with the artisanal mastery that defines Baldinini’s creations, where transparency, light and shadow, and refined craftsmanship narrate the tradition of Italian shoemaking.

Unveiling—on display until Saturday, May 10—was first previewed at the Milan boutique on Via della Spiga during MIART and Milan Design Week, through a video installation revealing the project's behind-the-scenes process.
