Lombardy’s international promotion continues without pause, and with the Lombardia Style roadshow, the Region of Lombardy once again takes center stage in North America.

The Regional Minister for Tourism, Territorial Marketing, and Fashion, Barbara Mazzali, traveled to Canada to strengthen and expand the collaboration launched with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, on an official visit that includes two key cities: Montreal and Toronto.
Two strategic stops, Monday, May 26 in Montreal and Wednesday, May 28 in Toronto, designed to showcase Lombardy’s distinctive identity to a select audience of journalists, tour operators, travel agencies, and stakeholders.
The events will include networking opportunities, emotional presentations of the destination, and a focus on the excellence that makes Lombardy’s offer unique: from food and wine to design, immersive experiences, and major international events like the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
Further strengthening the mission is the presence of key partners such as Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations, who already actively promote Lombardy through direct flights and dedicated travel packages.
The annual connection between Milan Malpensa and Montreal is a strategic lever to increase tourist, cultural, and business flows between the two countries.
Barbara Mazzali, Regional Councilor of Lombardy for Tourism, Territorial Marketing, and Fashion, said:“Canada is a strategic market for us, with enormous potential—not only for the number of arrivals but for the quality of tourists it can bring to Lombardy. They are curious and discerning travelers, with a strong interest in everything that makes our region unique: art, good food, design, nature, fashion, and major international events like the 2026 Olympics.
We have chosen to invest in a strong collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada and Air Canada, who are not just partners but true allies in a shared vision: to showcase our lifestyle, our craftsmanship, and the authentic beauty of our territories.
From Valtellina to Mantua, passing through our lakes, villages, culture, and innovation, we want to attract tourism that is not just about numbers, but about value. Value for our communities, for local businesses, and for a model of sustainable and respectful growth.
After all, choosing tourist flows also means choosing the future we want for our region.”
The Canadian roadshow is part of the internationalization strategy of the Lombardia Style brand, which is based on an identity mix of tradition and contemporaneity.
It is the style of an authentic and surprising territory, where culture, business, and beauty merge into a comprehensive and high-profile tourist offer.
During the events, ample space is also dedicated to narrating Lombardy’s role as a European hub of creativity and innovation, capable of attracting travelers seeking authentic and unforgettable experiences.

Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer and President, Cargo – Air Canada, said:“Air Canada is proud to play a key role in connecting the Lombardy Region with Canada, having welcomed over 700,000 travelers on our flights to the region since 2014.
Today, our year-round service between Milan and Montreal links two world-class cities, supporting long-standing family, cultural, and economic ties on both sides of the Atlantic. We warmly welcome Councilor Mazzali’s visit to Canada, recognizing the rich and diverse experiences that the Lombardy Region offers travelers, including the upcoming Winter Olympics.”
Thanks to a strategic vision and ongoing dialogue with foreign markets, the Lombardy Region strengthens its global positioning as a premier tourist destination—capable of attracting, inspiring, and winning over visitors.
