Great success for the presentation event of “Desert Rose,” the collection by Afraa Al-Noaimi, held at Palazzo Visconti under the patronage of Regione Lombardia.

The event was attended by several institutions, including Barbara Mazzali, Councillor of Regione Lombardia, and Gianluca Mirante, Director for Italy, Cyprus, Greece, and Malta at HKTDC, as well as national and international journalists and industry figures.

It represented an important moment of cultural exchange between Qatar and Italy.

The “Desert Rose” collection combines the designer’s creativity with Lombardy’s production excellence, featuring fine materials such as chiffon, silk cady, muslin, and stretch hemp.

The garments alternate fluid silhouettes—such as capes and flowing dresses—with more structured shapes, like tunics and fitted pieces, achieving a balance between volume and artisanal precision.

The color palette evokes the landscapes of Qatar, with shades of ivory, sky blue, sand, and earth, enriched by distinctive accessories such as stockings and gloves adorned with “desert rose” crystals, gauze hijabs, Carrara marble details, and golden finishes that pay tribute to Qatari tradition.

The project, carried out with the support of Regione Lombardia, highlighted the strategic role of institutional collaboration in strengthening cultural and economic relations between Italy and Qatar.
