On November 1, 2025, during the Couture Fashion Night at The Circle Convention Center in Zurich, Pignatelli Atelier will officially debut — the new women’s couture line from the Pignatelli maison.

This special project comes to life under the creative direction of Jean Luc Amsler, a Swiss designer with a refined sensibility and international style, renowned for his work in Parisian haute couture and collaborations with some of Europe’s most prestigious couture houses.

The presentation marks one of the key moments in the maison’s new chapter — the result of the entrepreneurial vision of Francesco Gianfala, who is leading Pignatelli toward a contemporary and coherent international expansion.

The aim: to connect with a new generation of clients while preserving the brand’s timeless sartorial essence.

Pignatelli Atelier is an upcycling collection, composed of one-of-a-kind pieces, entirely crafted in the maison’s workshop within its vintage menswear department. What makes it truly unique is its deep bond with the brand’s historical archive: each garment originates from original tailored bases preserved in Pignatelli’s creative heritage, reinterpreted through a modern, intellectual, and visionary lens.

It is fashion that goes beyond dressing — it tells the story of a powerful, self-aware femininity.

Silhouettes alternate between sculptural constructions and fluid lines, while fabrics with a masculine soul become expressive tools that define a strong, sophisticated, and unconventional identity.

The collection moves between two dimensions: on one side, dramatic couture pieces with theatrical volumes and ceremonial details; on the other, essential yet evocative garments, where subtle theatrical codes emerge discreetly — giving everyday wear the depth of a vision.

The new collection tells the story of a mysterious, free-spirited woman with an almost Gothic allure, inspired by Countess of Castiglione — the “Pearl of Italy” — an icon of beauty, independence, and rebellion, endowed with a free soul and a refined aesthetic sensibility.

Accompanying the women’s line on the runway will be a selection of men’s garments from the Pignatelli archive, reinterpreted in a contemporary way by the brand’s creative director, Francesco Pignatelli, in harmony with the maison’s new direction.

This encounter between heritage and future expresses the desire to expand the Pignatelli identity by enriching it with new languages and stylistic perspectives.

“The Pignatelli Atelier project represents for us a natural evolution — a bridge between tradition and the brand’s future: to reinterpret, innovate, and push boundaries while remaining true to our DNA,” said Francesco Pignatelli, expressing his enthusiasm for this new creative phase of the maison.

Pignatelli Atelier does not replace the existing lines but complements them, addressing a young, conscious, and discerning audience, attentive to quality and the uniqueness of genuine Made in Italy craftsmanship.

The collection will be available at Pignatelli’s flagship stores in Turin and Milan.
