SCARPA, an Italian company and leader in mountain footwear and outdoor activities, enters the freeride ski boot market thanks to a new collaboration with Norwegian skier Nikolai Schirmer, renowned for his exceptional mountain feats.
The athlete, considered an icon among freeride enthusiasts for his ability to tell stories through high-quality video content, becomes a global ambassador for SCARPA.
In recent months, Schirmer has had the opportunity to test the 4-Quattro Pro "on the slopes," a new boot set to be launched in the coming days, providing the company with valuable feedback for its development.
Famous for his descents on steep slopes and in extreme conditions, Schirmer will also star in a promotional video, soon to be available on the brand's social media channels, showcasing his spectacular maneuvers.
"We have been exploring the freeride world for some time now, a discipline that has gained increasing attention and innovation in recent years," says SCARPA President Sandro Parisotto. "To do so, we partnered with the best in the field: with Nikolai Schirmer, we immediately found common ground to do great work in this area, reaffirming our international vocation, rooted in key principles such as excellence, innovation, and respect for the environment.

“Collaborating with SCARPA on this boot is a dream come true," says Nikolai Schirmer. "It’s extraordinary to see how far the company has pushed design and production. A level of performance like this, both uphill and downhill in the same product, has never been achieved before. I’m truly excited to be part of this project.”
Recognized for two consecutive years as European Skier of the Year, Nikolai Schirmer has won numerous awards for his exceptional technical skills on snow and his creativity in combining extreme sports with visual storytelling.
The athlete has a large following on social platforms, including Instagram and YouTube, where ...he shares his skiing adventures, including breathtaking descents in some of the most challenging terrains in the world.
Among his most notable projects are “WAVY” and “A TIME FOR EVERYTHING”, both available on YouTube, showcasing his passion for adventure and challenge.
Schirmer has built a solid fan base thanks to his videos, which combine the adrenaline of extreme skiing with stunning imagery of mountainous landscapes.
His ability to perform spectacular skiing in harsh natural environments is what has made him one of the most followed and respected freeriders in the world.
The 4-Quattro Pro is hitting the market with the goal of becoming the new benchmark in the freeride world, being the lightest and most high-performing product in the industry.
The result of extensive research, it is designed for those capable of tackling any elevation gain uphill and ready to challenge the steepest, most demanding lines at full speed.
Made entirely without PVC, it meets high sustainability standards thanks to the shell and cuff made from Pebax Rnew®.
