From April 15th to 21st, during the Design Week 2024, the illustrations by Jacopo Ascari dedicated to the excellences of Lombardy will be exhibited at the Belvedere of Palazzo Lombardia.
During Design Week 2024, the illustrations signed by Jacopo Ascari, dedicated to the excellences of the Lombard provinces, will be the protagonists of the exhibition scheduled at the Belvedere of Palazzo Lombardia in Piazza Città di Lombardia.
In an experience of redesign and interpretation of the territory, the Lombard style becomes the common thread of a collection of illustrations that bind all the excellences of a dynamic region, from fashion to food, from design to music, from tourism to architecture.
The exhibition will be a true sentimental journey into the Lombardy of desires for visitors to immerse themselves in, among breathtaking squares, scenic buildings, and undiscovered places to discover the unique and unmistakable "Lombard style", recognized worldwide.
"I am proud to exhibit my illustrations in the scenic Belvedere of Palazzo Lombardia, one of the symbolic places of the Region.
Surrounded by the magnificent skyline from the 39th floor, visitors will discover the incredible destinations of Lombardy.
Elegance, refinement, passion, and innovation are the elements that distinguish the strokes of my drawings, which, like true original postcards, depict each individual province and, above all, offer an unmissable view into the soul and beauty of the undisputed capital of style," stated the artist Jacopo Ascari.
The exhibition "Ascari: A Sentimental Journey in Lombardy" is part of the ambitious Lombardia Style project promoted by the Councilor for Tourism, Territorial Marketing, and Fashion, Barbara Mazzali, and presented last February at BIT in Milan: a trademark, a real brand, strongly desired by the Region that identifies and certifies the best of production and creativity made in Lombardy.
"During Design Week, the Belvedere of Palazzo Lombardia will transform into a showcase open to the public where it will be possible to learn about the history of the Region with its excellences.
Thanks to the works of artist Jacopo Ascari, which encapsulate the essence of Lombard style, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a sentimental and emotional journey to discover the territory and all the beauties Made in Lombardy, symbols of Lombardia Style," stated Councilor Barbara Mazzali.
The exhibition scheduled during the Fuorisalone, from April 15th to 21st, at the Belvedere of Palazzo Lombardia in Piazza Città di Lombardia (Entrance from N1), will be open to the public by reservation only through the website www.eventi.regione.lombardia.it according to the following schedule: from Monday to Thursday from 6 pm to 9 pm; Friday from 3 pm to 9 pm; Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm; and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
Jacopo Ascari, born in Modena in 1993, began working as a freelance illustrator as soon as he reached adulthood.
Always in love with architecture and the city, in 2018 he graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Polytechnic University of Milan, and in 2020 he founded Atelier Ascari, an illustration studio based in Milan.
At the heart of his work is a specific focus on the representation of the city, architecture, fashion design, and beauty, always proudly "maximalist" and baroque.
