Colnago Unveil First-Ever Capsule Collection and Limited-Edition Bike to Celebrate 70 Years of history, Innovation, and Victories.

Colnago, the iconic Italian manufacturer of high-end racing bikes, celebrate 70 years of innovation and Italian craftsmanship. To commemorate the milestone, Colnago has released a limited-edition leisurewear capsule collection and an exclusive steel bike, the Steelnovo.

Founded in Cambiago (MI) in 1954, the company has successfully combined craftsmanship, technology and cutting-edge design, synonymous of its elite performance and uncompromisable quality.

A symbol of manufacturing and cycling excellence on an international level, Colnago tells a long story of victories, from the feats of champions such as Eddy Merckx and Giuseppe Saronni to the successes of Tadej Pogačar, the latest of the many legends linked to the brand.

The year 2024 marks an extraordinary moment for the company. After the V4Rs’ triumphs at the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, and the World Championships in Zurich, Colnago celebrates its 70th anniversary with renewed pride, presenting 70 exclusive examples of the Steelnovo bicycle and a limited-edition leisurewear capsule collection, paying tribute to a key chapter in its history.

“We celebrate seventy years of innovation, victories and passion for cycling, always with an eye to the future. We are presenting a modern steel bike that takes advantage of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing for lugs. In perfect Colnago style, we never stop experimenting; thus, we have indulged in a capsule collection of clothing handmade in Italy with the highest quality raw materials. These projects fully embody our brand: both reflect our dedication to manufacturing, attention to detail and quality materials and the Italian spirit and creativity that have always characterized Colnago”, says Nicola Rosin, CEO, Colnago.

ABOUT THE CAPSULE COLLECTION

Limited-Edition, High-End Leisurewear by Colnago The link between Colnago and the world of tailoring is closer than it might appear.

The use of high-quality, raw materials, expert craftsmanship, ‘Made in Italy’ and meticulous attention to detail are hallmarks of both Colnago's production and that of the most prestigious fashion houses.

Before being permeated with resins, the carbon fiber used in the tubes of Colnago bicycles is like those used in high-quality fabrics – an accentuation of the craftsmanship aspect of the workmanship.

Similarly to tailoring, where each fiber is carefully chosen for strength and beauty, Colnago carefully select the materials for its bikes, ensuring that each component benefits not only the performance, but the overall aesthetic. This parallelism highlights how, in both industries, the creative and production process requires dedication, passion, and a deep understanding of techniques, making each product unique and of the highest value.

The capsule collection, handmade in Italy by highly skilled artisans, consists of 10 garments.

Among the most iconic and distinctive models are three outerwear pieces made with Loro Piana fabric: the elegant navy-blue trench coat (with Storm System®: treatment), the timeless field jacket (with Rain System®: treatment), and the gritty varsity jacket (with Storm System®: treatment), all in 100 percent cashmere and embellished with the Colnago Manifesto embroidered inside the jacquard lining.

In addition to the outerwear, the collection also includes a sophisticated and enveloping cashmere polo shirt, available in long and short sleeve versions.

T-shirts, piqué cotton polo shirts, crewneck sweatshirts and hoodies complete the collection: linear and elegant garments, all with the Colnago logo finely embroidered. All garments will be available exclusively online at Colnago's website.

INTRODUCING THE STEELNOVO

A modern steel bike that celebrates Italian excellence The limited-edition Steelnovo, with only 70 pieces available, represents the perfect fusion of heritage and innovation. Made of steel, the material that made Colnago famous worldwide with its iconic Master and Arabesque models, this bike combines Colnago's frame-making tradition with the latest aesthetic, geometric, and technological canons of the bicycle world.

Entirely developed in Italy, the Steelnovo is equipped with Columbus tubing and Campagnolo components, Colnago's historic partners, and boasts an elegant, refined and modern design that guarantees high levels of performance, offering cyclists the unmistakable riding pleasure typical of the brand.

The elements that give the Steelnovo an innovative edge are state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, particularly the use of 3D-printed lugs from Additiva, a company renowned in the motorsport industry for its ability to perform precision machining.

This technology ensures a perfect match between the tubes, creating strong and lightweight connections that give the frame a highly competitive weight.

Finally, like all Colnago bicycles, the Steelnovo is designed with a keen eye on performance.

This steel bike is compatible with all standards and components currently on the market, guaranteeing cyclists and enthusiasts with an unmistakable and uncompromising riding experience.
