"Echoes of China": HUI Bings China Style to Base Blu Varese. An Immersive Experience of Art, Philosophy, and Oriental Craftsmanship.

On November 13, 2025, HUI Milano presents "Echoes of China" at Base Blu Varese — an exclusive event celebrating the dialogue between Eastern aesthetics and contemporary sensibility.

Considered one of the leading ambassadors of China Style in Italy, HUI Zhou Zao signs a project that unites art, fashion, and philosophy, offering the public a symbolic journey through the five senses and the five elements of Chinese tradition.

At the heart of the event are five silk kimonos with embroidered details, created in a limited edition and presented in collectible cases.

Each kimono, distinguished by a symbolic color, is accompanied by a poetic postcard inspired by The Preface to the Orchid Pavilion by Wang Xizhi (303–361), one of the foundational texts of Chinese aesthetic and literary culture.

These garments, expressions of refined and mindful craftsmanship, will be available exclusively at Base Blu, alongside a curated selection of Chinese artworks and antiques from private collections.

Completing the experience is a tea ceremony conducted according to the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, inviting guests to rediscover their own energetic nature through the fragrance of herbs and the tasting of personalized infusions.

The setting, inspired by Chinese ritual festivals, will transform Base Blu into an immersive space where light, scent, and sound converse with the artisanal gesture.

With Echoes of China, HUI Zhou Zao reaffirms her mission to promote Chinese culture around the world through the language of fashion, continuing the work of the HUI Foundation, which is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the artisanal and artistic heritage of contemporary China.

“My work stems from the desire to build bridges between East and West,” explains the designer. “Fashion is a universal language: through forms and materials, we can convey philosophy, harmony, and respect for inner beauty.”

Thus, Echoes of China marks a new chapter in HUI Zhou Zao’s journey as a cultural ambassador, where fashion becomes a vehicle for knowledge and connection—beyond geographical and disciplinary boundaries.
