On Wednesday, June 4 at 7:30 PM, the 19th Edition of the “Premio Margutta – La Via delle Arti” took place—one of the most prestigious cultural events held in the city of Rome. It was conceived in 2006 by Art Director Antonio Falanga, organized by General Manager Grazia Marino, and produced by Spazio Margutta.

The initiative, sponsored by the Department for Major Events, Sports, Tourism and Fashion of the City of Rome and by the International Association of Via Margutta, will once again this year symbolically move from the magical atmosphere of the legendary street to the beautiful eight-arched Loggia of the House of the Knights of Rhodes, from which one can enjoy a spectacular view of Via dei Fori Imperiali.

The “Premio Margutta – La Via delle Arti” is awarded each year to prominent figures from the worlds of art, culture, and media in our beautiful country.

One of its founding goals is to celebrate and refocus public attention on one of the most famous streets in the Eternal City—Via Margutta—unanimously recognized as one of the most iconic streets of art and creativity in the world.

For her contribution to the enhancement and promotion of Made in Italy in the “Fashion Section,” Francesca Liberatore was awarded the prize.

She is the Creative Director of the eponymous brand that bears her name:

“It was a pleasure to be awarded in my own city, in the setting of the House of the Knights of Rhodes, next to my high school, E.Q. Visconti, and right across from the Museum of the Markets of Trajan, where I had once helped set up an exhibition by my father.” Said Francesca Liberatore.

"I thank Antonio Falanga and Grazia Marino who, through the masterful hosting by Cinzia Malvini and in the presence of Rome’s Fashion Councillor Alessandro Onorato, highlighted the artistic uniqueness and broad vision of my creativity—supported not only by official runway shows and international roles, but also by the work I carry out in universities, promoting a fashion aimed at the future and for the future.

Receiving the Premio Margutta" affirmed Francesca Liberatore "continues to be, for a Roman, a cultural affirmation and a reminder of the reasons that led me to breathe in art and choose fashion."
