TRC makes its official debut at the 106th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, marking a significant step in the world of men's fashion.
Starting from Milan as a cultural epicenter, TRC looks to the future by designing futurewear, the workwear of tomorrow.
Born from the collaboration between two historic Italian textile companies, Candiani and Grassi, TRC stands out for its innovative and sustainable Italian textile heritage, expressing its essence through a no-season proposal based on functionality.
With strong roots in tradition and a forward-looking perspective, the brand presents a sneak peek of its first collection at Pitti Uomo 106: a futuristic reinterpretation of classic workwear-inspired garments that combines the durability and authentic aesthetic of denim fabrics with the most innovative and sustainable Candiani technologies.
The TRC collection offers innovative design that blends vintage and futuristic elements and consists of approximately 50 pieces including trousers, jackets, shirts, and a variety of outerwear garments that evoke the workwear universe in their construction, details, and treatments.
Among the trousers, there is a 5-pocket model with a loose fit, offered in two jacquard denim fabrics and two full-height denim fabrics, available in a wide range of washes. The top offerings include a classic workshirt, a shirt with a mandarin collar, and a short-sleeved bowling shirt.
Among the outerwear pieces, a classic trucker jacket stands out, paying homage to denim tradition and designed to create a kind of utilitarian uniform with the 5-pocket jeans. The collection is rounded off with a range of garment-dyed t-shirts and sweatshirts.
The materials and manufacturing techniques represent the best practices available on the market or, as in the case of mineral denim, fabrics that embody a visionary anticipation of future textile manufacturing.
Starting from the use of post-consumer recycled cotton and regenerative cotton, the TRC collection also features various denim fabrics with batavia construction, refreshed with innovative materials such as Blue Seed cotton and GRAPHITO.
The use of Blue Seed cotton, a special variety of hybrid and regenerative cotton developed by Candiani in collaboration with Gowan Seed Company and to which it has exclusive access, is found in the garments of the Mineral capsule collection, marking the debut of TRC's futurewear at Pitti.
The Mineral collection offers a selection of unique garments made from mineral denim, an innovative fabric that incorporates mineral elements in every component, developed by Candiani and stylistically reworked according to workwear inspiration by Grassi. Trousers, outerwear, and shirts, crafted with the most advanced and environmentally conscious technologies, offer unprecedented durability in the world of denim and unique performance features: lamination and water-resistant treatment, as well as the fabric's natural antimicrobial and thermoregulatory properties, ensure a perfect casual look in every situation.
Exclusively starting from October 2024, the Mineral capsule collection will be available for purchase online and at the Candiani concept store, while the rest of the TRC collection will be available from January 2025 online and in select stores.
Candiani was founded in 1938 in Robecchetto con Induno (MI). With over 80 years of experience, it has established itself as one of the most renowned textile companies and producers of denim fabric worldwide, thanks to the combination of three founding principles: Made in Italy, sustainability, and innovation.
Grassi, was founded in 1925 as a family-run company producing technical fabrics, Grassi, today, is a market-leading Benefit corporation, with nearly 100 years of experience in the field of protective workwear and customized uniforms. The company, sensitive to sustainability and circular economy issues, has eight production units in Europe, with its headquarters located in Lonate Pozzolo (VA).
