From March 17 to 19, the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, hosted the Turkmenistan Fashion Project, an international event dedicated to promoting Turkmen fashion and culture.

The initiative, launched by the Union of Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, received the support of the Turkmen Ambassador to France, Mahirli Zinan, and the contribution of Hind Joudar, President of the Oriental Fashion Show.

The event served as an important platform for local designers and artisans, giving them the opportunity to showcase their creativity on an international level.

At the same time, the project provided a unique occasion for networking and collaboration with world-renowned designers, encouraging the exchange of ideas and strengthening the fashion sector.

Among the supporters of the initiative was Mr. Carlo D'Amario, CEO of Vivienne Westwood, who described the project as an unmissable opportunity to discover the innovations and creativity of Turkmen fashion.

During the three-day event, participants enjoyed spectacular fashion shows, traditional craft exhibitions, creative workshops, and themed conferences.

The Turkmenistan Fashion Project highlighted the country's unique tailoring techniques, with a particular focus on luxurious fabrics and traditional patterns that define Turkmen style.

The program featured renowned designers, including GÓLLI, MÄHIRLI ZENAN, JENNET AGAYEVA, and AYPERI MODALAR OYI from Turkmenistan, alongside international names such as YOLAND (Oman), REGALIA (Morocco), CLAUDEPATRICK (France), VIVIENNE WESTWOOD (England), and AVARO FIGLIO (Italy). Additionally, top designers from Lombardy, Italy, showcased their innovative collections, further enhancing the prestige of the event.

The event was part of a broader initiative aimed at fostering the sustainable development of the Turkmen fashion and textile industry, with the goal of creating economic opportunities for local artisans and stimulating innovation in the sector.

Moreover, the Turkmenistan Fashion Project sought to strengthen the country's position on the international stage, promoting cultural and commercial exchanges.

A diverse program of fashion shows, exhibitions, guided tours, and excursions allowed participants to explore the city and its rich heritage, making the event a bridge between East and West and a key reference point in the fashion world.
